The Pentagon releases UFO videos

The Pentagon officially released three videos recorded by United States Navy pilots showing unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

AFP.- One of the UFO videos with a black and white image is from November 2004, and the other two from January 2015. They had been circulating on the internet for some time, especially after they were published by The New York Times.

The US Department of Defense explained in a statement that it decided to disseminate them "to dispel any false idea from the public about the veracity or not of the images that were broadcast or about the fact of knowing if there were more or not."

"The aerial phenomenon observed in the videos continues to be classified as 'unidentified'," the Pentagon added.

In one of those videos, you can see how an oblong-shaped UFO moves rapidly and, a few seconds after being detected by one of the sensors of the Navy apparatus disappears to the left after a sudden acceleration.

In another video, an object is visible above the clouds. Likewise, the pilot has heard in the cockpit audio asking if it is a drone. “There is a swarm. Oh my gosh, they're all upwind! A west wind of 120 knots! ”, Says his flight companion.

"Look at that thing!" Says his interlocutor at a time when the UFO begins to make a rotation.

Retired Navy pilot David Fravor, who spotted one of those UFOs in 2004, told US news network CNN in 2017 that the object was moving erratically.

"As I approached him, he accelerated rapidly to the south and disappeared in less than two seconds," it was "like a ping-pong ball bouncing off a wall," he summarized then.

Harry Reid, a former senator from Nevada, the state where the top-secret Air Force Area 51 facilities are located, celebrated in a tweet that the Pentagon released those images. However, he lamented that the videos "barely touch the surface of the available research and documentation.

“The United States must take a serious and scientific look at this and all the potential implications for national security. The American people deserve to be informed, ”he wrote.

In December 2017, the Department of Defense acknowledged funding a secret multi-million dollar program until 2012 to investigate UFO sightings. The three videos, "FLIR", "GOFAST" and "GIMBAL" can be downloaded from the "Naval Air Systems Command" website.
